Replicated Websites
URL Suggestion - Get New URL at GoDaddy, then Forward
and Mask it
Follow these steps to set up a URL to use with your new
replicated website. People will only see your new URL
and will not be able to see the actual URL where your
replicated website is hosted. For example, if you
- Step #1 - purchase one or more of the replicated
websites above
- Step #2 - purchase a nice looking URL for each
replicated website at
http://godaddy.com
- Step #3 - log into your godaddy account and perform
the following steps on your URL:
- A. Go to "Domain Manager"
- B. Click on your URL - it should be a hyperlink
to the domain details
- C. Click on "Mange" for "Forwarding"
- D. In the field to the right of "htpp://", paste
in the URL of your new replicated website
- E. Click on "Advanced Options
- F. Select "Forward with Masking"
- G. Follow the prompts to type information for
Title, Description and Keywords
- H. Click OK to save your Forwarding with Masking
settings
- I. Wait patiently for a few minutes and then try
your new URL
- J. Verify your new URL resolves to your new
replicated website
- Step #4 - Put your new URL on your business cards
and email it to as many people as you can!
